Relive more than a century of the rich, turbulent history of Southeast Tennessee at the McMinn County Living Heritage Museum in Athens, Tennessee. Thirty permanent exhibit areas depict life from the Cherokee Indians and early pioneer settlers through 1940 as well as several changing exhibits and programs throughout the year. What's New at the Museum

A replica of the Museum's iconic schoolhouse quilt is now displayed on the building's facade as a part of the Appalachian Quilt Trail project.
